Told when a sensor is disturbed
A sensor that is opened, removed or knocked raises a Home Watch notice. Shipped 11 October 2026.

Home Watch turns the sensors you already own into notifications that reach you first. It is built from your own door, motion and tamper sensors, with no cameras and no cloud account holding the picture of your home.

Read the note →The box names devices that have gone quiet, are tampered with or have a flat battery, so a dead sensor does not sit unnoticed. Shipped 14 October 2026.
Heating and lighting follow the people actually in the house, and the lights are made to look lived in when nobody is.
Instant messages to your phone, from your own devices, before anything else.
Arming modes
Try the design below. This is the next big piece of Home Watch and is in development, so treat it as a preview, not a feature you can buy today.
In Disarmed mode Home Watch watches nothing. Filled sensors with a dashed ring are watched.
Watched: nothing is treated as a breach.
You are home and moving freely. Sensors still report to the box.
In Night mode Home Watch watches front, back and patio doors. Filled sensors with a dashed ring are watched.
Watched: the perimeter doors only (front, back and patio).
You are in bed. Doors are watched, movement indoors is ignored. An open sensor is named before arming.
In Away mode Home Watch watches all three doors and movement in the hall, kitchen and living room. Filled sensors with a dashed ring are watched.
Watched: everything: all doors and movement in every room.
Nobody is home. An exit delay lets you leave, an entry delay lets you disarm on the way in.
Example delays are shortened to 10 seconds here. Real delays will be yours to set. After the entry delay, breach response (lights, a speaker warning, notifications until you disarm, and an incident record) is a separate step, also Next.
Coming next
Pick a mode and the box watches the right sensors for it: perimeter doors at night, everything when you are away.
Time to leave and time to disarm on the way in, with a countdown, so you are never racing the box.
If a door or window sensor is open, the box names it before arming instead of arming with a gap.
Lights, a speaker warning, and notifications until you disarm, then an incident record of what happened.
Questions
Home Watch sends you notifications from your own sensors. It is not a certified alarm installation and does not replace a professionally installed alarm with a response service, or your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Tamper notices are running on production boxes: a sensor that is opened, removed or knocked raises a notice. The attention list names devices that have gone quiet or have a flat battery. Presence, who is home, and instant messaging notifications are also shipped. Arming modes are still in development.
Arming modes (Disarmed, Night and Away), entry and exit delays, and breach response are marked Next because they are in development. We do not promise a date. Each step appears on the news page when it ships.
The design is that the box names the open sensor and refuses to arm until it is closed, rather than arming with a hidden gap. This is in development and marked Next.
The watching runs on the box in your house, so it carries on when broadband drops. Sending a message to your phone needs a way out of the house, which is what the optional mobile-data plan is for.
Later
For people who want a trained voice on the end of the line, we are working on an optional professional response service. Planned
